Meeting Minutes 2/8/12

Meeting Minutes

In tonights meeting, each sub-group went over tasks which need to be completed before the deadline. The clock is ticking!frown

ATTENTION TEAM! We want everyone to come to the GM Tech Center on February 16 to take a team picture, it's a tradition. You also get a first glimpse of the robot and how far the build team has gotten. See you there!

All volunteers for the FTC Competition must contact Mrs. Damrath to let her know that you're volunteering. When you get a reply back, forward it to Mrs. Ure so that she can keep track of your hours. Please refer to the calendar for all upcoming events. Competitions are coming up and we want everyone to be there. Talk to your parents about these events so they understand how important they are to you and the team.

The team went over the core values of FIRST which are:

  1. We are a team
  2. We do the work with help of the mentors
  3. We honor competitions
  4. What we discover is more important than what we win!
  5. Share our experiences
  6. Gracious Professionalism
  7. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!smiley

Meeting Minutes 2/1/12

During tonight's meeting, each leadership student in charge of a sub-group (Animation, Build, Web, Management, Chairman's, and Fundraisers) reviewed their accomplishments since Kickoff. From our donut sale and movie night we made a nice profit that will be very beneficial to the team!!! yes Great job, Hammerheads! Events in the future that we will be volunteering at include the FTC Competition at Novi Middle School. Also, the Hammerheads will be visiting cub scouts and introducing them to the principles of FRC and FIRST. We will teach them about Gracious Professionalism, that what we discover is far more important than winning, and to have fun!

Two new upcoming activities are:

  • > Presentation to Cub Scouts
  • > Novi Middle School FTC Competition
More information will be posted at a later date.

Team, here is another reminder that the competitions are what we have been working up to; everything we did from the summer, to the first meetings, to today is working toward that goal. Work hard, exhibit Gracious Professionalism, and enjoy the FIRST competitions. Remember to cheer not only for your team, but for your alliance partners as well and congratulate the opposing teams!
